The CDS Aluminium and Non-ferrous Metal Chip Drying System combined with the series FUS PB Melting Furnace is the result of many experiences, consolidated by numerous applications currently in operation.
The CDS system consists of a set of equipment that allows the cogeneration of the energy needed for the drying of the materials to be treated thermally in the rotary drum. The technical criterion of the system provides for the drying by convective and radiant heat exchange between the material to be treated and the gases coming from the post combustor/ recuperator of Thermal Energy through the energy chamber, the gases are controlled in the values of oxygen and temperature with counter-current motion with respect to the material to be treated; it is also possible to use the combustion gases of the possible melting furnace for an input of thermal energy that significantly reduces energy costs.
